    I first found 90GTVerts youtube videos, then I landed here.

    I recently bought my first ever two wheeled vehicle! A 2012 Taotao CY50-B Vetas. The four digit odometer say 128 miles. I think it it's more like 10128 considering the broken faring, general filth, and, amount of rust on the exhaust.

    So far I've: Widened the gate to my yard, and, cleaned up my shed to fit the scoot. Plastic welded a few long cracks the rear center faring. Replaced a large handful of missing fasteners. Replaced the missing overrunning clutch. Replaced the o-ring between the intake manifold and head. Replaced the voltage regulator. Replaced the air box with a homemade pod air filter.manifold Completely disassembled the carb and cleaned it. Broke the kick start idle gear and its mount point. Adjusted the carb. Smoothed out the entry of the exhaust pipe. Ran a few ounces of Seafoam through the gas and oil. Changed the oil. Found lots of metal flakes. Changed the final drive gear box oil. Tested cylinder compression 115 PSI. Printed a replacement carb cover panel for inside the seat. Unseated, randomly rotated, and, reseated the rear tire. Changed the spark plug. I suspect I forgot something. AND, laid it down at fifteen mph on a dirt road acquiring a nice road rash injury in doing so.

Welcome mpfine. You will soon discover many, many great pieces of information here. Most questions you may have are likely to have been asked prior. Crashing isn't fun, ever. You made me recall my first ever crash. Got too crazy on a Bulltaco climbing a hill, hit a rut and went sideways, but still WOT. Somehow made it at a not fun angle and crashed hard at the bottom.
