Hey all,
After lusting for a scooter for the past 18 years, I finally picked up a well used 2015 Propel 50cc to tinker with last week. I've learned a lot from reading this forum and website, as well as watching the YouTube videos, which are great! I was a powersports mechanic for the last 16 years so the grease monkey in me can't wait to tear into my new toy and see what I can do with it. I love how cheap and plentiful the parts are for these things. Who would of thought you could buy a big bore kit for under $30?
So far I've cleaned and unsealed my carburetor, installed new yellow springs, cleaned and greased the clutches, and replaced my spark plug. My future plans are to install a 72cc kit, install a cam, jet the carb, fine tune the variator, and possibly install a new exhaust.
Hopefully I can get my friend to pick up a scooter too so I don't have to ride alone. Nothing like two grown men with motorcycle licenses driving scooters around! LOL
