Well after spending a few days trying to sort out a bogging issue from idle. At first I thought it was CVT related, as the variator and clutch were way out of adjustment. But now the CVT seems fine. When the bike is cold it pulls away great, with the choke on. And providing the revs don't drop too far runs ok. But if you stop at lights for any length of time it will not pick up. Even going so far as to Fred Flintstone it away! But if you rev it a bit while stationery it will pull away ok. I have tried adjusting the mixture screw, but didn't make any noticeable difference. There did seem to be a weeping from the mixture screw though. The idle speed adjuster has seized solid too, which doesn't help. I'm going to strip the carb at the weekend and let the jets soak in carb cleaner to see if this helps. Any other ideas?

You say you checked the CVT? Also the torque spring? What carb are you running or what setup?

It's just a standard cylinder with a next r pipe. The CVT was running with really heavy rollers, and the contra spring was binding. It looked like someone had just fitted whatever components had came in a kit. There was no spacer on the variator, and it was not getting full travel. I guess you have to take into account that this scooter had been off the road for 9 years. So who knows what had been done to it before.

Paul,it,s easy to miss the basics,I had a similar issue which was solved by adjusting the acc cable, and a previous problem turned out to be a loose allen key on the twist grip, happy hunting.
