okay bike fires up cold without giving throttle, and idles... Once warmed up will not idle, and will only start if I give throttle while starting??? any suggestions?

When it is cold the enricher is working adding fuel. If it isn't working it will either flood when warmed up or if stuck extended not add fuel when cold. I would start by cleaning the carb and adjusting the idle mixture when warm. Also check the air filter box, make sure it is sealing up tight. If it isn't it will lean the carb out

I cleaned the carb, adjusted the fuel mixture screw while warm, and no difference bike still cuts off... Do you think this carb is just shot?

Where is your A/F mixture screw, how many turns out? You may need a new pilot jet based on that.

You say it starts but won't idle. What do you do once it starts if it won't idle? Have you adjusted the idle speed on it?

pinkscoot the idle screw is all the way tighten and I get no higher rev, I've cleaned the carb multible times... I play with the throttle to keep it running... If I close the manual choke the bike boggles and shuts off (this is after I made adjustments to the fuel mixutre screw, before making it's position to 2.5 'out' if I closed choke bike would cruise and go pass 40mph to about 45mph max on full throttle... Any suggestions? I just want the damn thing to idle!!!!

Here is a theory. The mix is too rich and you have a leak on your manual choke. When its open the mix is fine but closing it cuts off that air source. Send a picture of your carb showing where the manual chock and throttle cable go into it.

pinkscoot I think your theory is correct its the choke the screw cover isn't fitting correctly, now I get no power when throttling if choke is open, if I close it the bike takes off...
