So I went to install my new exhaust. As I’m installing the new one I noticed that the exhaust port is oval instead of round!!?? Is this what people talk about as in it being restricted? I’ve already de-restricted it everywhere else... Is it worth opening up this exhaust port or should I just leave it alone?

With a mostly stock engine, it didn't do anything for me opening up the port from the sort of half circle that I had. Didn't hurt though. There are a couple of pics of it in the beginning of this vid.

I'm going to guess that you mean the exhaust port in the barrel in the middle of the studs? they seem ripe for a bit of opening but I think it won.t make a difference check the port map section and general porting chat, most of which is way over my head, but I reason it,s the dimensions nearest to the piston that make a difference.

My brother did some serious portwork on his stock Zuma barrel, including opening and polishing the exhaust port. With some trans stuff and his port work it got to 50, but he also weighs like 140#. Its probably easier to swap to a bbk to get more power, he worked on that thing a long time and a $50 bbk woulda worked just as well haha.
