A little off the beaten path, but i found this resource to help a person measure a scooter's current and planned geometry when looking into fork replacements. I'm using this to plan my steering swap on my venice. use this site as a good starting point for measuring your scooter out. there's a few other things to include - bearing outside diameter top and bottom for example - and current stem overall length too chopperhandbook.com/springer-measure.htm

A little off the beaten path, Hehe, atariguyfc...you should consider making your scooter into a chopper! A scooper...or a chopscoot...maybe a Venician Beach Cruiser?

After a few weeks holiday...have you considered a "springer" front fork setup? I haveseen some good looking ones on fleabay and china sites. Adjustable springs mounts...

I'm already having issues getting a basic set of pit bike forks to fit right currently.
The machine shop i brought the original scoot steering stem, the new pitbike triple, and the roundstock i bought - turned the roundstock identical to the pitbike's steering stem rather than to the scoot's stem dimensions. Top it off, he pressed -and welded- the freshly turned stem about 5° southwest of square.
Currently trying to get the shop to pay for the parts they jacked up so i can get new stuff and bring them to another fella i shoulda brought it to in the first place.
As far as a springer style fork, i'm not going quite that chopp on this build. Its too small of a frame (heh, cuz it -is- a small frame scoot) to rake the front out that much. It's a thought for a midframe though, i just don't have one of those lol

I am not talking changing rake much, if any. I saw a bicycle with a springer mounted with no rake/trail mods. I don't do chrome, but a version that can be powder coated would be super nice. I have leaned toward keeping my leading link, but using a nice looking pair of modern mini-shocks...maybe with a nitrogen reservoir. Problem is, I need nearly no spring, or a light progressive rate.
