On a Minarelli engine.
If for some odd reason I wanted my swingarm on the right what troubles would I run into with the transmission? I know the clutch would have to be modified to.engage correctly... I guess I'd have to do something creative with the torque driver pulley.... Would the gears in the transmission care?
I've already brainstormed the engine end issues. Have to reset the stator plate to get timing right and figure out a way to start it backwards. I'm thinking modify the kicker or go with a pull start. Flip the sprag clutch and rewire the starter motor? Lots of JB Weld and patience with a Dremel and files to be able to keep the carb on top. Spinning in reverse would have to really think about which nuts and bolts might need very careful torquing and use of good threadlocker.

Thats easy, just buy a Chinese 4-poke scooter. You will be going backwards and nowhere in no time. As for wiring the starter backwards, remember the bendix clutch only works in one direction too.

You could buy a gyro...it has drives on both sides. Just use the right one. The left side you can remove the brake drum and put a cover over the axle stub. Of course the tire would be off center, but you wouldn't be falling too far.
