I really wish I had the money to just buy it on the spot, but not at the time. Anyhoo, went browsing the local scrap yards and found a Keeway that I think would be a great building block. Runs, has title, for $500. Anyone know anything about this scoot before I get lost in Google?

Buy it. It's just like a TNG ls49, and I had one of those recently. Great bikes, lots of storage, lots of parts. The front end is a little cheesy and wobbly, but I'm pretty sure you can swap it out with a disc brake TNG Venice fork and it should be better.

Keeway hurricane, vento zip, and tng ls49 are all pretty much the same bikes I think.

I really don't have the cash right now, so I'm going thru my bicycle collection to try to get a pawn loan to scoop it up today...
Horse trading gets hard sometimes.

I've got a Keeway Matrix 50 2t. I love mine. If it's the same it's a large frame scoot with minarelli horizontal 2 stroke which has tons and tons of aftermarket parts and awesome overall engine. If I could find another one in my area I'd buy in a heartbeat!

I'm going to try to pawn off a bicycle I have, frame and fork alone valued at 700 new. I have the complete bike, I'll ask for 600 and give the shop 400 for the scoot. Will update results...

Great scoot but........The motor mount design with the intake feeding through is a REAL PITA to work on. I have one here that is now in kit form. lol

Offer the guy $300 in tens. Pretty hard to turn down a stack of cash staring at you. It's how I get mine!

They are "decent" Chinarelli scooters. I have a Keeway Fash 50 and Vento Zip 50(which looks surprisingly like the one your looking to buy). Would be nice if it was a 12" wheel scooter but most are 10" I would try to get them down some on the price but with a title, that's going to be tough. Keeyway Vento Personally for that kind of money Id hold out for a Honda or Kymco.

If it’s $500 I’d probably pass it up for a larger framed scoot, Vento Triton, Keeway Matrix, RX50 etc That is the smaller guy. Still smokey 2T fun but handling will suffer. If $350 or under I’d go for it.

I had to put a stiffer shock from a bugeye Zuma on mine, but it was a decent handling little bike. Light too. Small variator/crank spline and a 107mm clutch w jog90 td. Also came with stock foot pegs and side stand! And an awesome front trunk that folds out to a basket... Man, I miss my shit-bike ls49 haha.

A 90cc short case ATV engine should fit. You love wheelies, and a 90cc in a small frame scoot is pretty good for that, especially if you keep the 49cc scoot gears instead of the long 90cc gears.
