You are definitely local to me; I saw that bad boy on CL. It's quite an interesting machine.

only pic i got of it so far, been busy sense i got it. it is a Veryy small scooter, that's probably my favorite thing about it. i am able to lift it completely off the ground above my knees its so light. with snow coming soon and not having a garage, i'm not sure how much i'm going to toy with it. but for 50 bucks i figured F it. wish i could find the plastics for the back to make it complete. ill try and post more/better pics once i have a day off. RollingThunder! central WI? that picture i posted wasnt of the actual scooter i got, but heres ones.

That's the guy I saw. I thought it might had made a neat sleeper but I read it doesn't have a conventional CVT? Do you know anything about it? I'm from northern Wi. I see you put your Honda on CL today.

not sure about the cvt, haven't ridden it much at all. what do you mean by sleeper, like throw a bigger engine in it?
yeah i'm buying to many bikes, i have 3 motorcycles, and 2 mopeds now. the honda nh125 is to much of a headache for me at the moment, so its the one i'm willing to part with.

BBK and performance parts! It's so tiny and unassuming it would be fun to blow the doors off of other scooters with that thing. Edit: I did a little more checking on the drive system, and from what I can tell, it sounds like it uses a go cart style centrifugal clutch which drives the rear wheel with a chain.

I've been doing some googling and it looks like this motor doesn't really have a CVT. It's chain drive kinda like a razz. Making it faster may involve a motor swap.

I found a post about making one of these going faster and apparently at one point there were other gears available for the rear. If you could track down one of those and couple it with a BBK and pipe, it would probably gain a bit of performance. On the other hand, it might be more trouble than it's worth and you might be better off making sure everything is in tune and enjoy your $50 scoot.

I currently have in my possession around 10 scooters, and the only 2 that run right now are stock. Everything else is 'waiting for parts'. Even my bugeye is waiting for my gears to come back from the machine shop. A running scooter w little aftermarket support is a blessing cuz you can't spend hundreds of dollars on parts that make it unreliable haha.

youtu.be/NLzJc4x-XJ8so i rode it a bit today, things awesome. it seems to accelerate pretty hard on idle, like the wheel is always turning. to cold to mess with it right now, but im sure just turning the idle down would help this problem. when i ride it, and go like 20-25mph and then let off gas, it seems to want to accelerate even more, than when i was accelerating. Am i wrong, thinking that turning the idle down a bit will fix this problem? ***edit*** adjusted idle, runs awesome now.
