There are 4 wires(for most scooters)on the ignition switch. In my situation, this is the wiring break down.(Honda Elite 50 Green = Ground Black/white = Ignition kill(stop) ---------------------------------- When key is in "off position", this connection is closed(connected to each other) Scooter does not run. When key is in "on position", this connection is open( not connected to each other) Scooter runs. . Red = Power +(from battery) Black = Switched power(to horn/turn signals/start circuit/brake light switches) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When key is in "off position", this connection is open(not connected to each other) No power When key is in "on position", this connection is closed(connected to each other) Power is ON Now with all that being said, I spliced into the solid "BLACK" wire. This wire is energized(receives power) with the ignition switch is turned on. Now the fruits of my labor. Now hold you computer/phone up to your scooter and I will reach thru the screen and wire it up for ya.
