Hello everybody I'm new here and I'm glad I've joined in.... Owned three scooter over the years and enjoyed them all...Just bought 2016 4th generation Icebear Maddog beautiful metallic blue stretched like a honda rukus..(Of course mines is the clone!!) Anyways it's a 50cc it's slow and it's fine I did upgrades before so I went a bought a new impact gun and that's when hell broke loose!!...I've decided to upgrade the variator and change the roller weights to sliders did this many times before but not with an impact gun.... So you guessed it!!!..I've managed to stripped the variator nut and the worst part the variator drive shaft!!!!!!... Well lots of people told I'm screwed some say new motor...some do a tap on the variator stem and rethread the drive shaft......I don't know what to do....Brand new bike not broken in yet just have 152 miles on it.....some say sell for parts but I always believe there's got to some fix!!! If I'm a dreamer then it's ok....that being said I would love to hear a miracle...lol No I want really good options from people that know....I could use the help...and thank you for giving me this platform to work with.... Ernesto..Brooklyn N.Y.

Post pictures of the shaft. Maybe it can be saved with just a jewelers file. Maybe. If using a die, you'll need a quality one $$.
If all else fails, just replace the crank. It's really not that hard and there are several videos on how to do it. And it's not even that expensive.

like I always say, drop the money into a high quality crank and bearings, then if you want to do upgrades later, you have a solid foundation to start from
