Dan here. I'm expecting my used 49cc 2 stroke soon. Meanwhile I'm working on an Elite 80 that doesn't want to run. I live in a tiny town in Texas halfway between Houston and Austin so I have a long riding season. If I'm feeling adventurous I can stretch it to about 363 days per year. I'll be counting on all you people to help me learn more about scoots. Believe me, I know little enough now.

Always room for another 2T guy here. There is much to learn about the smokers, but you can relax. You can find whatever you need here.

it is addictive. You have two scoots now but that won't be the end.

Oh, I'm already thinking about my third one. Maybe a 150cc? That way I can travel some of the back roads. Around here most back roads are 55 to 70 mph.

I am considering that. That's why the question mark. It'll be a while, so I'll spend time looking, sitting on and, when possible, test riding.

danp...you will not be disappointed in these threads. Just take your time and look at what others have experienced. I too live in year 'round riding weather...hot, humid and raining. I ride them all.
For me, testing new ideas is the best fun. It has all been done, so ask away!
Welcome!!
