I took the carb off my scooter to clean and now that I have it back on the scooter, it won't start. I watched some videos and learned that it was the compression. How do I get compression back or locate where the problem is

The carburetor won't affect compression, aside from the reading changing if you have the throttle open vs closed. The throttle must be held wide open if you're doing a compression test.
Are you sure you don't have compression? Did you use a compression tester, and if so what psi did it show?

I did not use a compression meter but every video I have seen of a scooter not starting because of compression sounds exactly like mine.

What is the history of this scooter? Who did the 80cc conversion? There is an extensive tech and troubleshooting section here for every conceivable situation.

This doesnt seem like a compression issue, as the carb doesnt effect compression, but anyway.
dumb question, but is the spark plug tight? I've had a plug vibrate loose before. Failing that you could do with a comp tester. most garages and hardware stores will lend you one for a small fee or even free sometimes. If the plug is on tight, then the next thing to check is valves. Look for 100PSI+ compression on the tester. less than that and you will have a hard time starting and lower performance. if you manually push the kickstart with your hand, is it hard to do, or is it rather soft? if it is somewhat difficult to press down the chances are you have enough compression to start
What i think it is , is an air leak around the carb or a mixture problem. When you dismantled the carb, did you change the needle position? Change the air fuel screw or anything? Are the jets in correctly? is the vac line on the intake manifold connected? did the float bowl seal up right?

was it running before you took off the carb? if it was, it's not a compression issue, did you take off the intake? did you replace the spacer and gaskets under it? compression doesn't just go away on an engine that ran before, because you removed the carb

If the carb was removed and reinstalled could you have possibly cracked the intake when doing so? That would throw the fuel mixture off whack.
