No scoot action here. Been preparing for the onslaught though, buying parts, cleaning shop, making a table... Soon! I have the basic stuff, but is there anything you guys got and wished you had years ago? Im in full on nesting mode. KON-TIKI I wished I would have cleaned up my workspace everyday when I was done for the day instead of saying I'll sweep it up later... a pneumatic lift or at least an easy reliable way to get the scoot off the ground and a hand held impact gun.

One of my early purchases was a lift, the $300 on sale HF one has done me well. My knees and back have thanked me. I use it for everything including fixing anything that would make me bend over.

My HF lift broke in the up position with my bike on it. It never worked well to begin with and that was the final straw.

Thank you for the warning. I should keep a ramp around in case mine fails.

Thanks guys! I have about 3 ramps around. Lots of room now! Almost secured enough to bring my tools in. Somebody suggested I needed pin ups. So, here’s my first pin up

Here we go! Plans are to split the case, replace fucked kickstart gear, inspect the rest, replace clutch and fly side seals, reassemble and test. Then install Polini 177 cylinder kit and exhaust, oko28 carb, cross fingers, and ride! Got most parts and tools needed I think Still need to find throttle cable Maybe find choke cable kit too So far I’ve emptied fluids and that’s it

Pulled it! Of course that led to another $30 order in random bits from scooter mercado. Then I failed at making a stand. Will try again next week. Check out my coil wire!

I may need to make a stand like that at some point in the near future for a piranha 140 engine. And that coil wore looks like it's seen better days lol

The Vespa auto lube is supposed to be one of the best around. There are big debates on some of the Vespa forums. Some getting very heated! I'm with you though, premix is the safest option.
