hey guys i have a kymco super 9 50cc and my freind found a 150cc engine that were are going to put in my scooter. the onyl problem is with 12 inch wheels i think im gonna have serious wobble at 40-50mph so i am wondering where i could find about 14 inch wheels that would be more stable at those speeds.

I think you'll be fine with 12" wheels. My 13's carry me over 75mph no prob's.

I ride all day at 50+ on 10" or 12" wheels. Been over 70 on 12" wheels. I think you'll be just fine as long as you have good tires and the wheels aren't bent or anything to throw them out of balance.

Ok guys thats good to hear i was worried about clearance. I have michelim pilot city grip tires i think those r pretty good tires. Would a gy6 150cc short case engine fit im my 50cc frame. Thats the engine hes giving me to put in

I don't think any GY6 is just gonna bolt in, but the short case should fit. I think the long case would look better and be more similar to stock.

It would be closer to stock length and wouldn't impede handling as much. You should still be fine with it and 12" tires though. I'm running the michelin pilots as well and I like them alot.

1) I seriously question a 4 stroke engine @150cc being an "upgrade" on a Super 9. 2) a short case will not take much more than a 10" rim 3) the easiest swap is if you buy a donor scooter (with trashed plastics/hit in the front)

how could a 4 stroke 150cc engine not be a uprade from a 2 stroke 50cc that makes no sence :dunno:

It does to me...Be a waste of time IMO. More weight with the 150 with the same or less power than a tuned sport kit on that S9. I could go on and on but i gotta go....

how could a 4 stroke 150cc engine not be a uprade from a 2 stroke 50cc that makes no sence Easy, you can squeeze more power out of a 50 two stroke than a 150 4T has stock. Sure, it's the less easy route but certainly the more fun one Plus, the super 9 engine is very well made compared to the GY6's.

how could a 4 stroke 150cc engine not be a upgrade from a 2 stroke 50cc that makes no sense The KYMCO Super 9 is known as the fastest 50 cc scooter straight from the factory. Top speed is about 80 km/hr compared to about 60 km/hr for most 50 cc 4 strokes. With 5.09 hp.... 12 hp is within reach with a bit of "tweaking" (without reliability "issues") Because it is a Super 9 it retains good to high resale value. To *think* that a 150cc (8.5hp) Chinese 4 cycle engine is an "improvement" is a mistake on 2 fronts: 1) a BBK and some tuning will give you 12hp, and 2) your resale value will be fubared. If you want to stuff a 150cc Chinese 4 cycle in something pick something that is worth nothing (like a $200 Baja SC) and "have at it".

theres one problem with that reveeen that is is for te super 9 liquid cooled i have the air cooled which has a a huge diffrence in power. if a big bore kit is a better way to go could you guys refer me to a quality one that will fit my scooter and give me the claimed 12hp
