I guess I didn't mention anything about fit, so I'll add that they seem pretty true to fit for me. Sometimes I need to go a size up, especially if gloves are noted as European sizing. In case it's of any use, here are some glove brands that I have or had and what sizes worked for me :
Highway 21 : XXL Firstgear : XXL Olympia : XXL Cortech : XXXL Scorpion : XXXL Five : XXXL Alpinestars : XXL was too tight and XXXL was not available in the glove I tried.

Great review Brent. I'm sure some of our southern friends wish they had a pair this week. I have heated grips on my Vespa and they work okay but i'd rather invest in gloves before I put heated grips on other scooters.

I wanted to get another set of batteries, but $60/pair + shipping was more than I was gonna pay. Looked a bit at various other 7.4V batteries and found THESE replacements for Joe Rocket heated gloves. They looked the same in their pic, other than being wrapped in blue stuff instead of black. Over $20 cheaper so I had to try it. These showed up today. Not what the site shows, but the stickers on them are the same (model # and all) aside from a 1 year and 1 month newer manufacturing date. Seems to be the updated version of the batteries that came stock with my gloves (added a fancy plastic box) at a discounted rate.

After using the new batteries, I think they made them worse instead of improving them. They still seem to last like the originals. The issues are that they are slightly bulkier and the connections are not as secure now. The bulk is minimal and doesn't actually bother me. The connections aren't a deal breaker, but when I put them on or take them off, the gloves turn off because the connection gets loose. At first I took them out and pushed the connector from the glove into the batteries again. Now I just push on the right spot in the glove and then turn them back on. They aren't problematic to me once they're situated, but I never had this issue with the old style of battery. I think they should have skipped the revision and left a good working battery alone, but I suppose the average consumer is too concerned with appearance. FFF (Form Follows Function)
