Ahhh, a bead leak, not a leak in the sidewall. A friend of mine has a full-size tire machine which he also has adapters fitted on for small tires. He has an arm with a wire wheel attachment he can use to clean the rim while the rim spins on the machine. He can work on tires from truck tires on down to garden tractor tires in his garage. Tire rims suffer from corrosion whether they are made of steel or aluminuminiumy alloys. The clear coat they use on many alloy wheels is infamous for causing bead leaks as corrosion creeps under the clear coat. It seems like many tire shops will sometimes give the rims a brush and then mount the tires which often leads to annoying bead leaks. my experiance of tyre shops in the U.K is they are lazy, countless times ive had to remind them to fit a new valve when ive had brand new tyres fitted, If you read the small print on the invoice they are supposed to fit a new valve as a matter of course, but will always try and dodge it if they think they can. And if the rims need dressing to get rid of oxidation or rust they will do the bare minimum prep and slap the sealing paste on thick. Its always heart breaking when you discover your brand new tyre is losing pressure only a few days after having it fitted. No worries now you are a master tyre fitter. 🔧🔧 I'm lucky, have a great motorcycle tyre fitter a couple of miles from me. He even changed the car type valves fitted to the typhoon from new for free, when swapping my tyres over.

Ha ha yeahh ive also had issues in the past finding tyre places who are willing to fit scooter tyres. i visited three different car tyre places once before I found one willing to do it. And he fitted the tyre with exactly the same equipment that the other 2 had who said it couldnt be done. Admittedly this was a good 8 or so years ago, maybe things have changed since... in any case i had a stab at it this time myself, and its not as hard as i first thought... as is often the case with most things.

Today I went to the scrap yard for tyres and got a good pair for twenty notes. Fitted them later on and already for the 2 big trips in the next couple of weeks on tomorrow to pick up a Vespa much to the annoyance of my beloved. I think when I grow up into an adult I want to own a scrap yard like Ivor the Fivers. ☺️

Christmas present for my mother. Her car is very clean for a 2013, but the paint on the deck lid piece has been messed up for years.

The rear of the Altima has been growling at me. It got louder and I was fearing it would bite, so I replaced the wheel bearings/hubs today. One side’s bearing felt bumpy and the other a bit gritty.

Still has the dealer tag! Not too much getting used to, they are actually pretty light (when empty). The thing I watch though is that I’m wider than I’m used to, so I give it extra space passing and cars coming the other way on a two lane road.

I was ogling over the KTM 1290 Super ADV last time I was at COTA MotoGP couple years ago. Big bikes... I went with a 390 (not ADV tho, just regular Duke). So totally flickable

Next year for the GP, I’m riding out there… free bike parking.

Added a spoiler, crucial for highway riding. Been using this one on my Vespa. They work killer. Without it you can’t hear your music cause all you hear is wind.
