Took a ride to buy a Honda Reflex 250 as I'd been planning to upgrade but I didnt want a GY6 as most ruckus owners do when upgrading. Although its popular and the aftermarket is VERY kind to it where you can find anything you could possibly want for a GY6 motor... I've been around too many breakdowns and I wanted the reliability of Honda and the cost was amazing, so I pulled the trigger and understood I'd be in a slow build with this one as it was all gonna be custom built.

Mounted the Reflex radiator and put new gussets on the rear frame.

Custom hub

My homie Jake came through with the skills to help me sort my wiring spaghetti.

Plate for the CDI and rectifier, check.

A friend helped by hooking up the welding for the exhaust header and 02 bung.

Brake lines came in...

Things are coming along.
Getting my rear frame smoothed and then its powdercoat time for the frames and wheels.

Once I get that done.. I should be ready to assemble.

Nice summary of the bike build. Looking forward to seeing the powdercoat and the assembly.
Fabrication is fun but one of my favorite parts of any build is picking up the parts from powder and starting the assembly process!

Small update that I forgot to post. While I was in FL a few weeks back, I took my rear frame down to have it molded and powdered by a friend. Dude does great work! I wish I could've took all my parts down to him as they'd all be powdercoated by now instead of me still struggling to find a local powdercoater that does small parts. Everyone around me doesnt seem to wanna do any small projects only industrial business.

Well, I wish I had more time to prep all the parts (I used some paint stripper on the parts in the back after this pic), but anything I was not able to clean off, I'll have the PC guy to help out with. Things are moving to slow and I wanna be on the road sooner than later.

Still waiting on the parts back from the powdercoater, but he was up front and said it will take some time as he has a bunch of work ahead of me. I got bored sitting around waiting and wanted to put my spare time to use, so I painted my motor black. Not a perfect job, but I'll be sanding some spots and putting another coat on once all is said and done to do my best on it.
