Anybody gotta reptile or snake? I'm trying to find a habitat heater and thermostat for my girls corn snake. I just ordered one off Amazon but it's the wrong one so I'm going to return it. Anybody have any suggestions on a good brand or type?

ZooMed? Its been years since my turtle tanks. The pet-co-smart brand one should work in a pickle while you dig up somethin...

I used a johnson controls thermostatic control, normal industrial type stuff with a capillary tube and a remote electrical housing for adjustment and wiring. I used heat lamps, red lamps for night, timers, photocells for controlling backups, etc. The hot rocks and professional pet store equipment is worthless.

If you use a light bulb for a heater you can aim a photocell switch at it that will turn on a backup heater bulb if the primary heater bulb goes 'dark'.

Here's the one I used. A Vivarium Electronics VE-200 pulse proportional thermostat.

I also used a zoo-med reptitherm heat pad. I may use something else too, or maybe 2 heat pads. The thermostat I'm using can handle some wattage so I've got some options.
