Speedometer not working

Hello Everyone,
I've been looking at this site since I started thinking about buying a scooter. After picking up a standard 50cc GY6 scooter from a local dealer I decided to get the enviromoto 72cc upgrade kit.

I've installed it and everything is running great, but for some reason after putting my scooter back together my speedometer and odometer don't work. They still light up but it doesn't register anything.

Does anyone have any advice for how to troubleshoot this? I've tried checking to see if the cable is broken, but it appears to be fine.

Confirm good cable and lower connection by disconnecting from speedometer body and spin wheel with it off the ground it you've not done so yet. Sometimes they can be difficult to engage at either end.
