What actually offended me more, more than the fact they did not side with me. They never made the seller, Change the listing. Because it stated comes with a charger, when it did not.
I did turn down the seller's $2.99 offer, in lieu of the advertised charger. So next thing in get a notification, Ebay, has close my case. So it was not an offer. It was an ultimatum, by Ebay. I should of just returned it. I can only imagine that return-shipping nightmare.
But why 60 days to get access to my accounts balance? I had no pending sale or any money I owed to anyone. Yet they kept my money hostage for 60 days. And the offered 2.99? It was never returned to my account. Even 60 days later.

It's actually tough being a seller on eBay too if you're honest and not a power seller and top rated and so on. They side with buyers then. Buyer says something's wrong, they may just go with them and you have to deal with it. I ended up refunding money to what I still think was a fraudulent claim and the buyer didn't have to ship anything back. There was 0 proof provided to me that anything was actually wrong with what they received. I think the buyer was over-protected in that case. If you're a power seller you get special treatment. Pretty sure you won't get a big refund from a power seller without proof. They're rich so it's working for them, but they never would be what they are today if that's how they did things when they were trying to grow. Sadly, I don't really know how else to sell some things easily. Classifieds type sites can be a nightmare for sellers between people trying to scam, people asking stupid questions or making lowball offers, and times when there's just no interest.

I bought a couople things off eBay last year, paid with a credit card, then eBay started declining our cards, at which point they "encouraged" us to open a PayPal account. So we just don't go to eBay anymore.

PayPal has it's down sides as well, but I've had pretty good luck with them so far. I think its because I get paid thru PayPal sometimes by my customers, and they can be big payments. One guy made a $1400 credit card payment to me thru PayPal and it ended up charging him like $44 in fees, cuz it was from a credit card not debit card or bank account. I ate those fees that time just so I could get paid and the guy wouldn't bitch, but those charges can pop up out of nowhere sometimes.

PayPal screwed me for $27, so they lost a business account that processed about $100K in annual sales and din;t give up trying to get it back for two years.
If you take the time to read PayPals actual TOS, it says at any point in the game they can screw you royal.

PayPal fees do kinda suck sometimes, but it's an easy enough way to do small amounts of business IMO. The only thing I don't use anymore is their debit card. I had a couple, but they must have had the worst security ever on them. Never seen anything like the issues I had with theirs. I repeatedly had to get new cards from fraudulent activity. Any time I'd try to have some amount of money on my PP balance, I'd end up with BS charges in short order. The last straw was when I logged in to see hundreds of dollars in charges to a bunch of adult sites. I called and tried to get them to cancel the whole lot of them because none were me. They told me they don't do that. It would be my responsibility to call the number listed beside each charge and have the companies issue refunds. Whatever turd did that to my account had made great use of the amount of money by getting a lot of cheap trials I guess, so I spent a day on the phone disputing claims. Got it all settled, but I won't use their cards anymore. The only help they even offered then was to tell me to change my password and to offer a new card to be issued. I had someone put charges on major credit cards a couple of times over the years and all I did was call and tell them it's not me and they immediately cancelled them all and sent a new card with no hassle. Some cards halt payments and send an alert if anything looks fishy. I have to call and tell them I'm riding the scooter if I'll fill up more than twice in a day because their security is tight and sees that as unusual. Maybe it's a debit card vs credit card deal, but my only other debit card I've had for years with 0 issues. Add to all of that, that I used to never be able to get anyone speaking clear English on the phone with PayPal. They've grown a lot since then, so hopefully that's changed.

So we just don't go to eBay anymore. You know I had that happen with my card being declined but when I contacted my bank it was actually issues with high credit card fraud rates from the sellers area it’s the same with wish the bank won’t let any charges go through direct because of the high rates of scams in the sellers regions

I got burned first time on eBay trying to buy a roofing harness. It never came, seller was mad shady kept just saying they sent it, eBay closed case even though they claimed I had protection. 35 dollar lesson. Amazon all the way, any issues we have ever had were taken care of to our satisfaction.
