Just about any quality automotive paint will work, as stated above PPG make a fine product. I use Axalta ( Dupont ) as there is a distributor close by my house. Depending on your liking, base / clear or urethane are good choices and will hold up very well. A quick coat of adhesion promoter is a great idea too, DupliColor has a inexpensive aerosol spray which i get at my local auto parts store for about $8 . Ive painted several of my scooters doing this method Wash all the parts with comet cleanser and a scotchbrite pad Prime with 1 light coat of epoxy primer Scuff the epoxy lightly and make the repairs on top of the epoxy Finish off the repair to your satisfaction One light coat of epoxy primer on repaired areas High build primer only if needed & block sand Top coat

I see no DOI (degradation of image). In case people are wondering what DOI is, it's like when you paint something, and it's shiny an all, but when you look at it, it just doesn't have that luster or reflective quality or seems kind of fuzzy shiny (dull). Usually corrected at the factory here with a wet 3000 soft sand, then buffed with some K211 compound. EDIT: DuPont is also an excellent choice. I used DuPont on my 86' Spree, and PPG on my 87'. I like PPG more because of the new formulations they use. Easier to work with if you get dirt that needs nib sanded out, and buffs easier too. Polaris switched to PPG for the 2017+ model year motorcycles because of this.
