Truck hauling motorcycles goes up in flames on I-10

MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- Madison County Fire Rescue says a tractor-trailer hauling at least a dozen motorcycles went up in flames along Interstate 10 on Thursday.

MCFR says it happened just after 11 a.m. near mile marker 262 in Madison County.

Officials say it started when the trailer experienced a tire blowout and the driver attempted to make it to the next exit before stopping. Another driver reportedly flagged down the driver upon seeing flames coming from the trailer.

The Florida Highway Patrol and MCFR responded to the scene.

No injuries were reported.

MCFR says the tractor-trailer and the motorcycles it was hauling sustained damage in the fire.

I thought this thread was gonna be about something happening to one of your pristine restos of the Sprees when I read the title, so I'm at least glad to see that's not what it is.

They were various models of all our 2018 lineup. Your looking at minimum, about $150,000 worth of loss. Scouts, Chieftans, Vintage, all kinds of models. Not sure if he was a hired driver or company driver. We all breathed a sigh of relief though, that these weren't the new models (which I can't talk about), inside. We would have been pissed. These ones were headed for a demo show in Florida that was supposed to go on today that lets people ride them for free and try them out.
