Something really tragic happened to one of my kids and I've been spending all of my time with him trying to keep him sane and alive. For the most part it's working out and I feel like he's going to be okay one day.
Anyway, just stopping by to say that I miss being on the boards making fun of 4 strokes and rooting for 2T's and that hopefully soon I'll be back permanently. Time will tell.
For now, Latrz

Thanks for all the kind words, fellas. I appreciate it. So after another week spirits are improving and I've been able to talk to my kid about his future. Before all this happened he was all set to go to Alaska and join the coast guard and I've convinced him that he should continue on with that plan. And so that he's not alone, his dad and older brother have decided to go along with him. So yeah, we're moving to Kodiak, Alaska. He's going to go back to California for a couple of months for training and then we'll be moving, which means I have a few months to pretty much sell or give away everything I own including my scooters. If a member lives here locally in Las Vegas I have a crap ton of Yamaha and Piaggio scooter parts that I'll give away for free, including a 2006 Honda metro and 2 Derbi's with Piaggio motors that someone could make a working scooter out of. I have a Derbi red bullet that I'll let go for a couple hundred dollars and it's in near perfect condition. Also a 2000 Zuma for a couple hundred. I'll let my Aerox motor and wheels and shock go for 500, which is less than what the shock cost me. The Aerox motor is the only thing I'm willing to ship. Not to be a jerk, but I don't feel like running back and forth to the post office to ship free parts. As far as the forum goes, I'll still be around, but I won't be sharing stories and pictures of scooters. Instead it'll be 2 stroke sleds, as I'm sure that's the thing in Alaska. At least I hope they are and haven't gone to slow strokes. That would make me sad I'll be back on in a day or so, and if a local member in Vegas needs scooter parts or a free scooter, pm me.

From baking in 100 degree weather to below freezing temperatures. That's love for your children for sure. Glad he's chosen and sticking with a righteous path.

Glad to see he wants to continue on his path. Talk about from one extreme to another. Give it time and you’ll feel at home there. Best of luck to you and your loved ones.

Maybe that is what people need after such tragedy, a new, fresh start. Even in Alaska.
Looking forward to see some beautiful nature landscape pictures in the future. Where ever you go and what ever you do, stay safe and healthy out there.
