Tech on championship skateboards would be interesting to me. I like all that high tech stuff in any kind of racing but I find difficulty in seeing high tech in push rods, carburetors and lug nuts.
Now I'll watch a little butt sniffing dog-eat-dog racing on TNT since my Arkie buddy, Mark Martin is on the pole. ;D

Very cool jmk.
I agree Reg, nothing cutting edge about a pushrod V8. Doesn't mean "stock cars" don't race as well as the rest. Pretty sure these scoots we love aren't high tech either. If I wanna watch high tech, I'll watch Le Mans Prototypes and F1... but like I said, the racing is not as interesting to me. Now air an LMP or F1 show like NASCAR Performance and I'll tune in every week!
I like a lot of drivers, but Mark Martin is not one of them. He's tiny, Irish, and wears all green... leprechaun? lol I route for Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Tony Stuart, Juan Pablo Montoya more than anyone. I'm weird, everyone else seems to pick one driver. Yer man from Arkieland didn't do so hot tonight (33rd).

F1 is about the only racing more boring than Nascar IMO. Australian Supercars are much better to watch than either. Even the good ol' boys of Charolette don't swap it out like those guys. I mentioned high tech because of the vids from SPEED channel you posted. Oh, all the Supercars come stock with lugnuts or lugbolts but in the interest of more time on the track and less time in the pits they use the single nut system yet NASCAR still wants to clutter up pit row with lugnuts. I would have figured you to be a Ford driver guy.
I walked out of the house after Martin got wrecked out. :swear:

The biggest part of the drivers have got to be pissed with all of that. Look for aero changes that will eliminate this.

i enjoy a good friday or saturday night dirt short track show down honestly ditch the plates and pull the spoilers off the cars and let them try to run 200+ mph it wont work the cars wont make down force to keep it down on the track they now have the roof flaps and other devices to keep them on the track when they get turned sideways and backwards

Bobby Unser did it in 10:05 in an open wheel 'mountain special' with 2wd on all dirt. I bet that record won't even be broken on pavement.
Tajama had to be hitting 150 mph in places.

im sure it was faster then 150 in some places as some of those switch backs you are down to next to nothing now that you cant slide the car around the corner on the pavement
you notice that unsers record is the only all dirt record still standing this year 6 records fell and as they pave more and more so will other records

this is a run from 2009 but i like the angle it kinda gives you a better prespective of the hair pin corners
and if you look at 5 min 20 seconds you will see a building in the middle of the road
well a ranger sits in that shack and you have to stop there and they check the tepature of your brakes on the way back down if they are too hot they park you till they cool down
we were comeing down with the hummer one day and it was funny the ranger went and grabed another temp gun and then touched the hub on the hummer as he thought the gun wasnt working as there was ahrdly any heat in the brakes
hell i think that was the first time we used the brakes on the down hill jorney was to stop at the ranger shack
