So had a 100cc upgrade installed with a9 cam and all tbat except crank shaft. So like an asshole I left the key in it and killed the battery so went to kick it over and the kicker jammed .. Itll still start with a jump and runs fine but on the kickstarter side it sounds a lil "Sandy" Im thinking this os just junk from the tooth or whatever broke off the gears that kick it over so I dont have cash to pay someone to fix it .. What should I do gonna grab a batterry today. Should I try and open the case an clean.. Thanks gotta get on the road again so I can make the music eith my friends

I would open the CVT and see what jammed. While you're in there you may as well give it a good cleaning

Clean and grease the kick start gears and you’ll likely be fine. Probably just kicked too far and gears got jammed. Check your belt condition while your in there

To pull the CVT cover you should just need an 8mm socket or a #3 philips head. The variator nut and clutch nut are easier with an impact gun. Here is information on the CVT cover: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/424. Here is a thread on assembling a CVT, just reveres for yours: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/355. This is Brents video on CVT assembly and inspection:

Havent had a sec yet tp watch the vids but its all I can think about right now cause if its something a wd40 if it dont move and duct tape if it does kinda guy but my pirate treasure is low every dollar counts.

Everything that moves when you use the kick start is attached to the CVT cover. EXCEPT 1 part, which is attached to the end of the crankshaft. The part on the crankshaft is a three-toothed gizmo that the kick starter engages when you operate it. There is a gear on a spiral that moves towards the crankshaft gizmo(gear?) and grabs its teeth and rotates the crankshaft as you push down on the pedal. If the large spring on the lever got loose from the lever or the case at the other end, the kick start lever would not operate nicely, and may hand loose. If the movable gear and one-way clutch get out of position, or the 'hair spring' gets off its track, you'd have (likely) some gear-gear noise. The only way to know for sure is to take it apart and inspect. A short-case will have eight bolts holding the CVT cover to the side of the engine/trans assembly. In some cases it is easier to remove if you remove the air cleaner assembly first, but it is not required. If this is the first time it is taken apart, the cover may be difficult to get loose. Sometimes the gasket is glued to both the cover and the case and you must use a hammer to break it loose. You'll likely also need a new CVT cover gasket. There is a PDF/JPG image file on site that you can use to cut a gasket from gasket paper, available at parts stores such as NAPA, Advance, PEP, Autozone, Kragen, Checker or O'Reilly. I figure you'd print out the image full size, and use that to trace onto the gasket paper, pull out the scissors, and go to town. Please don't eat the paste, your Mom would be upset. Do not run while carrying scissors, you could put your eye out. Remember. tom

here is a link I forgot last time: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/432. It will tell you more than you want to know but will help you with this job. I spent an hour struggling with one until I saw Brents video and it was fixed in no time with my knuckles intact. Just so you know its not that I spend hours searching the site for info, I just click on the directory tab in the floating menu and find everything I want to know neatly organized. If your on your phone you'll need to go to the full site to get it. Here is a link to help: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/1234/directory-find-faster. Keep us posted on your progress.
