I am trying to piece together a big bore setup for my son's Hyosung SD50 Sense.
From my research on the Sense, there is an "old Style" and "new style" Exhaust fitment.
The scooter as stock has a weird looking exhaust flange (nothing like my minarelli clone scooters). There are two metal "humps" (about an inch high) that the end of the exhaust fits in to. All big bore kits I see are (what I think is..) the "new style" that have a flat exhaust flange. My dilemma is trying to find a performance exhaust. Should I search for an SF50 performance exhaust? It looks like the SF50 uses the flat flange.
Performance parts are so scarce for this style engine and that is kinda sad as the scooter is built solid like a tank.

Here is how the SD50 flange looks on the one I have; You'll likely need to fabricate a flange to adapt a pipe to your model,,Its hard to find parts for that machine!

I own several scoots with Morini engines and performance parts are available as long as you don't like to have choices. A warning I learned on my Hyosung Primo which has the SF engine is that the CDI's on them are proprietary. I have a spare SF engine if you're interested.

So if you do a BBK and a pipe at the same time your problem is solved?

Here is a site that has the old and the new. Scroll down a little: www.epfguzzi.com/hyosung/parts/scooters_oem.htmlAll the BBKs I am seeing are the new style (flat flange, like your pic). So, what we have is the old style bore and pipe, yes, right now it looks like I have to do a pipe with the bb kit. Not a lot of choices, but it could be worse (like a D1E41QMB chain drive). I know on both of my Mina / Jog clones with 70cc bbks (one with performance pipe, one stock pipe) that both use an 88 main jet. Stock was 68. I cannot even tell what jet size this Hyosung has, and what jets to buy for tuning. I haven't seen these style jets before. This is going to be an interesting Spring.

So if you do a BBK and a pipe at the same time your problem is solved? I think so. I just have no Morini experience and didn't know how it will bolt up. This is the first Morini in the family that we bought last summer for 100.00 not running. I had to throw a piston, rings, cyl studs and head to get it to run right then it needed some other things. So 260.00 for a reliable scooter. I'm not afraid of doing some fabrication to make a performance pipe fit though.

Is there a difference from the SF engine to the SD50 (Sense) engine? Info one these are as scarce as performance parts.

So is it closer to the engine used in Derbis? The Derbi Morini doesn't have anything odd about the exhaust though, but it is bottom mount. It does use a different style reedblock than my TGB Morini.

If you want I can take some pics and measurements of TGB Morini stuff for you to compare, help verify that the same BBK would fit. At that point worse case scenario would be having to modify the exhaust hanger if the holes in the case arent in the same place.

This is the way I'm going right now: I don't care if I have to fab exhaust mounts. I'm used to that trying to make a ZX pipe fit a China scoot when it was made for a Yamaha. I think this will work on the Sense: Morini ExhaustBBK

That is a good heads up! Thank you. It seemed weird too that the listing shows 47mm, when all others are Morini 70cc kits are 46.

My SD is a bottom mount,I think the SF is top mount,,Correct me if I'm wrong... Looking at pictures of my SF engine it appears to be a bottom mount as well. I would go with the Malossi cylinder as well and Scooterpartsco has the best prices on Malossi parts. He also has the Techingas Next R for a little less than the Ebay seller. When I was shopping for an exhaust for my SF scoot there was a different exhaust for the SD. I found plenty of those but no SF exhausts. I'm not sure what the difference was but it could have been the flange.
