Honestly, I'm kind of glad he's not selling it right now. I'd like to see what the 4 stroke does and if it's enough I might like the gas mileage.

Is that... could it be? Why yes, it is a battery hooked up with a fuse intact. The rectifier came in today. I hooked it up and immediately noticed that the connections didn't spark when I hooked up the battery. The headlight still doesn't come on with the key on or off and the engine not running. The fuese hasn't popped so far, and the wiring doesn't appear to be heating up. Could it be that this scooter doesn't have a date with the Chesapeake Bay? Time will tell. I slapped on a few body panels. I didn't want them all on, because the carb still needs tuning. It's rainy with 20-30MPH winds today so I think I'm gonna just let this thing sit and see if the fuse is still good whenever I get to it. The starter is now working well with the new bendix too. I'm expecting something to explode now... a few things in a row being fixed just seems too good to be true for the Sunl.

The four stroke gods have spoken ;D. Cool man glad its at least acting ok now. I rode a customers Roketa today that actually went pretty good for a stock 49 four . The last one i worked on was a turd but this one gave me some hope if i ever end up with one of my own. And man these flat wide seats are nice on the ole butt

I tell ya' its a crap shoot on some of these QMB's. Some I have rode did 40mph out of the box, the next shipment, 35mph dogs. Way to go Brent I have battled electrical issues before and it aint much fun, but its a rush when you figure it out. Dont tell me you guys are getting the 4 slow bug.

I still prefer 2 strokes, but after spending over $180 last month on gas and oil for my 2 stroke a little better mileage doesn't sound terrible.

About 1,600 miles last month. I get 40MPG, I have to run premium, and I use good oil.

Stop it! Stop it! Now you kinda got me wanting another 139Qmb. I actually had fun tuning on mine... my first scooter. I loved the way it handled with the trailing link front end and agile 10" tires. I swear it leaned better than my Derbi. But maybe I've lost some of my nerve since having two hard offs on my Derbi.

I wouldnt mind having a four to putt around on when Skeedr got a motor to nasty to run all the time . I know what ya mean Doc. I worked on a Roketa last weekend that was like new but a four poke for sure. Then yesterday i finish up a tune up on one that looks like its been through the ringer and it would run right around the nice shiny one. As far as i know they both are stock as they come. Different thats for sure. Hey, they do wheelie though ;D. I was goofin with the owners permission i did get it to ride a short wheelie on the beat up one. The front ends are super light

I got the Sigma bicycle speedometer installed today. [ I used the old alarm bracket from one of the Tritons to make the bracket for the sender. Just when I thought I could tolerate a 4 stroke, it starts acting like junk again.... 82 Main Jet...5.8g Rollers...Naraku Variator...31MPH 88 Main Jet...5.8g Rollers...Naraku Variator...32MPH 88 Main Jet...6.3g Rollers...Naraku Variator...32MPH 88 Main Jet...6.5g Rollers...Stock Variator....32MPH I gave up for the night at that point. I had a friend get on it and it went 37MPH tucked on a slight downhill slope with a 140-150lb rider. It does feel a little better with the stock variator than the Naraku taking off. While messing with the vari, I also noticed that the crankshaft slides side to side (back and forth if looking straight at the face of the vari) a little. It's also leaking oil from the base gasket. I swapped out gaskets and cleaned everything very well and it still leaks just as bad.

I'm not sure what to do with it. Nothing really shows a big change. I'm going to try going even heavier with the rollers to start. There's at least 1/4" of room left for belt travel on the outer edges of the vari I know some of the 139s have 7.5g stock, so I'll see if that gets me anywhere. I might have to set up my timing light as a tach on here to see if perhaps my RPM is limited or something. It doesn't appear to rev any different maxed out with 5.8 to 6.5g rollers.
I forgot to mention, the electrical system is working alright aside from when you need to use blinkers or brakes with your headlight on. The headlight dims with either. It kind of blinks opposite of the blinkers. I had cars flashing their lights at me when I was turning into my driveway because it looked like I was flashing my high beam on and off.
