ok so i went and looked at my old honda sb50p, its in pretty rough shape. BUT i can pick it up for $20, i didnt get a pic of the body or anything but i did get pics of the kickstart case, its been open all winter so its a little rusted, heres a list of stuff i noticed off hand i would probable need, exhaust (or repair current one), front brake cable, rear light assembly, seat/bucket assembly and dashboard....he did tell me that it did run last summer before the kickstart broke completly and electric start didnt work when i owned it. the rear wheel locks up once and a while, i was told it is the bearings??? would prolly need new carb as seen in pictures and theres no airfilter, i would prolly need new kickstart assembly and i think its the variator??? new belt in there also. i would also be looking at getting new body peices, most are broken where the screws are. gimme some input and words of advice here please... If you want it to be a good looking scoot and all "restored" I might pass it up. I got a scoot for free and ended up spending a bunch on it, because I like everything to be in good condition and it ended up having some odd issues. That things gonna be a lot of work. If you are up for that and want a resto job, go for it. If you just want a good cheap scoot to ride, I'd say keep looking. I guess one bright side though would be that you could part it out or probably even sell it for scrap and get that $20 or more back if you decided it wasn't worth messing with.

I'd look towards swapping in a SA50 (94-01 Elite SR), or a NH80/125 (AF16E engine or one of it's relatives). While there grab the front suspension + wheel.
