Couple of days ago I picked up my boys bike to do up for mot after it has sat by the seaside and suffered a bit of corrosion from the salty sea air and Welsh weather, plus falling over. Anyhow twas a sorry state no starter working, dead battery from standing, broken clutch lever assemby and he has lost the one I bought him. sticking brakes, non functioning lights and indicators.
After a bit of wrenching the back brakes free front should not take long. Found a battery kick starts fine, sump plug needs re threading, I got a heli coil set for that job at some point. Shorted the starter solinoid and that turns engine over fine. Just need check the feed supply for that now , replaced indicator lens and bulb. attached new clutch lever assy just needs conecting now.
All this should be done in the next fortnight so he can sell it after being ripped of for £3000 in a funding scam to get equipment for his cafe. Its left him with some big bills but he spoke to those he owed money and they were happy to wait but the knock on effect was felt by the 3 part time staff who he had to lay off till he has caught up with bills and being vegan and vegitarian cafe he has had to jump in the deep end being a meat eater. But the Russian girl and Afrikaans girl that cooked for him have given him a crash course in cookery.
I wish I was more financialy better off and I would help him but I'm not . Still he is getting there slowly.
