The frame of my scoot has some rust and so does the gas tank. I've read that using a wire brush on a drill or a dremel was good for removing it. Is there any particular type/gauge wire brush? Do I sand it with a certain grit sandpaper after? What should I use to paint over it after?
Thanks.

I've used the wire cup brushes for drills. Can't really recall them being available in different gauges where I've shopped. Should have a decent finish after. May have to judge if it needs sanding after you do it or by instructions on the paint you go with. I've used Duplicolor's self etching primer and wheel paint on my frame before and it held up better for me than the average spray paint and was more chemical resistant.
