I like M13. I've posted many of his other vids here. I have bought his Private Series' in the past. This is largely misinformation IMO though. Thought I'd share and see what you guys and gals think.
In this, the next uploaded vid, he runs across what he says is a CPI bike that is good for what it is. "It's good, just not great." lol

IMO
While Japanese scooters, especially 50cc models, are long lasting and high quality, the manufacturers lack passion on the part of building high performance race-specked scooters such as you find from Gilera, Maligutti, Italjet, Kymco (l/c Super 9) and Derbi.
At least the Chinese attempt to mimic these brands to varying degrees.

"Uhhm...yeah, ok...soo, ya know..." I think that guy must talk to himself every were he goes to calm his nerves or something? Could you imagine standing there watching him outside that wreck? That would look funny as hell seeing him point and look just as if he is talking to someone.... THATS NOT EVEN THERE!! LMAO. . I bet the locals avoid him and think he is nuts! Looks pretty obvious to me that the car plowed into the parked scooter . As far as his scooter opinions go... Once again Ive said it before and all say it again. People,s opinions are like assholes. Some stink way worse than others

I couldn't stand to listen to the guy talk to himself for more than 2 minutes. Especially since he "knows guys" with chinese scooters. No real first hand experience. I side with Rob on this one.

I still cant get over how i watched the whole first vid expecting a wreck. Thats awful isnt it?
I think if something is real freaking cheap compared to others, then well, you should expect something real cheap. You can make them into what you want tho. Ive seen some darn nice cheap scooters!!! And fast ones too.
I think he really put his foot in up to his knee when he said Italian scooters are below Japan scooters on the scooter chain. Is he being endorsed for this lol? And Kawasaki not being as good as Honda? WTH? That was funny Brent, thanks for sharing!

Yeah I didn't get the Kawi part. They both are pretty much on par with each other in terms of quality assurance. I've ridden both Hondas and Kawi dirt bikes. This guy has got to be getting paid for this.

I can't imagine he gets paid to bash Kawasaki since he rides a Ninja 600. I know he gets endorsements that he has spoke about in other videos, but the only ones I remember are Scottoiler, some motorcycle bodywork company, and a computer case manufacturer I think. There's more I'm sure, but I dunno about Yamaha or Honda paying someone to ride a Ninja around. His scoot is a Yamaha Cygnus. One thing that may come into play over there is what's around. The scooter market there is certainly different than ours, but I agree he's speaking out of turn on a lot of stuff. Just the fact that he calls Chinese stuff junk then says a CPI is good says a lot to me. Not to mention Yamaha, Harley, and many others have stuff made in China these days.
From personal experience with my Ventos and my Keeway, I think they could hold their own with the Yamaha Zuma minarelli I've worked on as long as the dealer or owner goes over them just as a Yamaha dealer would. I've had a trained Yamaha motorcycle tech emailing me asking me how to fix a Zuma that came into their dealership, so I can't even say that all the dealer service is better than some Chinese shops could offer.
I'll keep watching his vids, because they entertain me, but if anyone out there needs help with scooters... I'd suggest being careful who you listen to. These vids are from the world's most watched motorcycle and scooter vlogger, someone a lot of people would think they could trust about this, and yet the information is not really correct as it seems in most of our opinions.

Nothing worse than watching someone else's bad home video. He moves the camera so much it makes me nauseous. If you want to focus on something you have to pause the damn vid because the camera is ALWAYS moving.

I think it call comes down to what the dealer does when the scooter hits the shop. Most of these Chinese scooters are sitting up shop at Pawn Shops and Flea Markets were most of the dealers have no clue what their doing. They throw them together out of the crate and make a quick buck off em. I can see those not lasting long. While there is dealers 2 of which I know of around me who buy these crate scooters put them together and go over the manufacturer errors and sell something that might be 100 bucks more but will last longer. I have friends who have Flea Market Specials, sorry thats what their called around here, that are good scoots. After buying though they have added parts/money to gain or make better. Kind of think that's where M13 was getting at with the China stuff. Yes you can buy this cheap scooter turn around buy parts for it to make it better but do you have the tools and knowledge to do so? A lot of people don't have that. So they would end up buying said scooter, buying parts then paying a shop to add these parts. When they could have turned around and bought something that is better for a little more. Both my Eton and Zuma were built in Taiwan. Both were/are really good scoots. So I'm not sure why he was talking bad on Taiwan scoots. My zuma compared to my buddy's cheaper scooter does feel built better. Performance is also better. Comparing my old Vento Li to the Zuma though. The Vento was much faster and performance was great. Before it was stolen though it was giving me a lot of problems and it was having electrical issues. The Vento only had 400 miles on it and I bought it with a bad CDI. I have over 1,000 miles on the zuma done all maintenance work myself and have had none? *knocks on wood* Nothing worse than watching someone else's bad home video. He moves the camera so much it makes me nauseous. If you want to focus on something you have to pause the damn vid because the camera is ALWAYS moving. It is quite annoying but you have to remember the camera is mounted in his helmet I believe. When riding I know I'm always looking around. Not all troubles are going to come from straight ahead of you. I say this but this guy also drives sometimes with only 1 hand on the bars because if you watch in other vids you see his left hand sometimes just moving like crazy while he talks
