I only paint metal parts because my scoots are mostly naked. For that, some paints are more chemical resistant. I've had good luck so far with Duplicolor wheel paint and Eastwood Chassis Black, but I don't imagine they're the best choice for body panels.

Okay, thanks for the help, have you ever tried to weld plastic?, I have a small crack and I want to get that sorted out before painting

The only paint i have used is for the exhaust and body panels. I would sand down the part's you want to paint untell you see no GLOSS look. Clean said part with water untell it's clean Then spray it real good with brake cleaner and rub it with a clean cloth. After it's dry and free of dust, Spry the part from 1' (one foot) away lightly and allow to dry (30-45 min's). Do this 3-4 times keeping in mind "light even coats" are better then 1 or 2 heavy quick coats. It's not a pro way of doing it but it can look good for chep if you take your time. If not i listed a few links to help. HOW TO SPRAY PAINT YOUR SCOOTERHow to paint plastic with spray cansIm by no means an expert but i have shaken a few cans of Krylon in my life. Krylon paintIf your looking to exhaust paint then that's a different paint and you might want to use a good old black BBQ spray paint but although the cost is there, the performance is not.(that shit doin't last) I use this and i found it holds up well. Rust-Oleum High Heat
