hello i am new here ok i have a 2004 geely jetstar jl-50qt-18
i need a new carb for it but it keeps asking what motor i have like qmb-139? i have no idea what motor i have how do i find out

i bet you have a vertical engine with a chain drive(cyl faces up)
if that is the case you have a de141qmb
its a yamaha based engine that yamaha ditched about 15 or 20 years ago

Chain drive? Now I would love to see how the tranny works. Is it a CVT type or is it the same kinda fixed ratio thing we see on gokarts?

Isn't that the same engine Yamaha Razz had? If so I have a carb and a few other parts.

hello sorry it is a 4 stroke motor with electric choke it just will not idle right but takes off fast but then loses power and at idle will shut off

When I did a search for your model, a service manual for a GY6 50cc (139QMB) came up, so I'd guess that's waht you have. If so, you should see a number on the CVT side of the engine case, up front, and down bottom to verify this.

Tried cleaning the carb?
