How do you send a PM?

Ok, so new to this forum, I was invited here from another forum as this might be the best place to ask my scoot mod questions.  Obviously got registered and now I want to send a PM to the gent that invited me here but cannot figure out how to send a PM...  I've been on quite a few forums and as a general rule it is quite intuitive to send a PM. 

So far here I log in, click on messages and then it brings up my in-box and says I have no messages, which is true as I've just joined.  My problem is I would expect that the message tab is where I would be able to create a PM to another member but danged if I can figure out how to do it!  Cannot find a button anywhere to create a PM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Doh! Belay that request! Just went back there and finally saw the create message button, don't know how I missed it...

Glad you found it! If the person you want to send to has posted in a thread, you can also click the "Send PM" button below their avatar and post count to send a message to them.
