Just guessing. Is it a Corvair? Did they even have Corvairs in Europe?

Nope, that's certainly no Corvair. And since it comes from one of Europes 'sunnier climates' it can't be the ironically named Sunbeam.
It's a Lancia.
But I'll never be able to determine the model.

Just guessing. Is it a Corvair? Did they even have Corvairs in Europe? Corvair would be a rear engine air cooled flat 6

Just guessing. Is it a Corvair? Did they even have Corvairs in Europe? good question. I think so, cuz they made em all over the world according to Wikipedia. Like 4 different continents haha.

Something else comes to mind: Consider the original Camaros. 1967 & 68. You can see an awful lot of 2nd generation Corvair in those cars. Particularly the fender curves and the dashboard. Add in the fact that many of those early ones had an inline six, three speed manual and, I think, no power steering or brakes. Heck, they might have had four wheel drums, for all I know. It's not impossible at all.
It's not much of a stretch to think that Chevy originally meant the Camaro to be simply the replacement for the Corvair.
The current Camaros, though modelled on the slightly different 1969 model, still echoes that body style. One might almost think that the Corvair lives on.
Though that is a stretch. Even I don't view the modern Camaros as being anything like a Corvair. I'm merely tempted in that direction.

From Wikipedia's corvair page:
Assembly Willow Run, MI Kansas City, MO Oakland, CA Van Nuys, CA St. Louis, MO Flint, MI Buenos Aires, Argentina (CKD) Mexico City, Mexico (CKD) Caracas, Venezuela (CKD) Bienne, Switzerland (CKD) Antwerp, Belgium (CKD) Port Elizabeth, South Africa (CKD)
I think the classic Chevy lines your describing can actually be found in lots of Chevy cars n trucks from the 50s thru the 70s. I believe that was Harvey Earl's design influence that was the main cause behind the beautiful Chevy's of that time.

To me, the corvair pickup and van had very similar lines to late 50s Impalas. Especially the trimmed up version's. Same w the early El caminos and the cameo pickup trucks, always loved those.
When I was a kid, detention was always in the library haha. So I ended up reading every book about cars my public school system had.

I've heard of Harley Earl. But all I really know of him is that he's well known as GMs star auto designer.
But it's always seemed to me that for every good looking model Ford or Chrysler put out in that era, General Motors came up with five or ten that were simply stunning.
If Earl and his team were responsible for that, then they were the best.

I guessed Corvair just because of the body type. The tilted engine threw me off.
