Hello
I have been scooting around without any rear body parts except for the seat/bucket. I discovered this isn't good and the bucket will end up breaking. That is where I am at now.
The other plastics on the scoot were damaged. I have replacements on order but I would like to have something that doesn't rely on the other body parts to keep the seat sturdy and stable.
Have any of you made something for this situation? Would you mind sharing your solution. If you're making/selling parts that do this I would be willing to purchase it.
Thanks

I'm 300 pounds and one of my scoots has nothing around the bucket at all and it holds up fine. I have broken one seat on a different scoot, and basically it felt like cheaper plastic.
Most body panels really aren't meant to support the seat. They're pretty much decoration.
You'd have to come up with a sort of ring to go under the lip that many seat buckets have and try to support it like that. Either that or build a more full frame below it, but that would really hinder you when trying to work on some things.

Thanks
I was thinking about something like the frame you mentioned. Something that has a seat on it, is made out of metal and bolts on to the 4 mounting studs. I don't care if it is the stock seat. Even a bicycle seat just to use when I am testing things so I don't have to put the plastics back. I weigh around the same as you and the plastic seat bucket (original one) broke when I was riding it without the surrounding plastic.

There have been peoplt that made posts that replace the seat bucket for support, but then the bucket wasn't used. Also people using bicycle and other custom seats. dexameth has a bicycle seat mounted farther back on his scoot.

Man, I love that thing. I want to do it all like that but I suspect it would draw unwanted attention from who-ever.
