No replies, so better simplify. That fricking Terminator 49cc 4 Stroke Scooter is still in my garage and looks OK and runs good but simply will not charge a battery. When this happens to me I'm usually not seeing the forest for the trees. I worked on it about 3 hrs. this morning after talking to a couple of our forklift techs and coming home with some ideas. One said that it sounded like a grounding problem so today I grounded the voltage regulator and engine with a new wire to the ground post of the battery. But still no voltage back to the battery. I then pulled another terminator up next to it, stripped it down and checked countinuity on a bunch of wires. Starting with the wires from the stator to the voltage regulator and they were good. All the wires went to the same place on both scooters and checked good. I did find one thing that bothered me and don't know how to proceed. On the scooter that does charge there is no power to the headlight switch with the key on. And on the other as soon as you turn the ign. switch on you have battery voltage there at the headlight switch in the two yellow wires, and if you flip the headlight switch to where the headlights come on you can hit the starter switch and the engine will start. If the hlight switch is turned off you start it by applying the front brake lever. That weirded me out and looks like back to the tech boys next week. Be grateful for any ideas you might have on how to proceed or what else to try. Thanks & God bless you all, Brian
