Never seen that “show spoiler” feature before. Pretty neat.
Really great video. I enjoyed it very much and that whole rear assembly came out looking super clean. I’d be impressed with myself if I were you.

Super work, when I use my jig saw the TPI is important to consider and most of any sawing I do needs a fence or barrier to guide or stop the blade straying into the good stuff.

The fork tube caps on this thing are different than scoots that I'm used to. They thread into the fork tube, but also have threads for the triple top to bolt onto. I stripped one while hardly tightening it doing some test fitting. The other hasn't been in great shape. One of the bolts was falling out of it when I got it, so who knows what has been done to them or if it's just Chinese junk. I'd like to replace them. Looked online a bit. Didn't come up with anything. Emailed the 2 local dealers. One got back to me already. He said SSR's parts diagrams don't show much detail, but he can only find that they sell whole forks for $60 each. He can get the bolts that go in them for $2.50 each, but that's about it. I have a feeling that's the same answer I'll get from the other, because this guy has a good reputation. If anyone knows where to get these, please post. I'm not a moped guy, so maybe they're common? Maybe they could be drilled and tapped whatever the next size up is, but I'd rather replace them.

It's not the bolt. I could replace that with a bolt and washer. It's the actual fork tube cap or whatever it's called. The gold colored piece. I haven't taken it apart yet for dimensions. Hadn't even seen one like it for a need to check. I did look over the links to diagrams that the Honda bolt is from, but they all thread into the fork tube itself. This thing uses the cap as an adapter for the top plate to bolt to. The Beatrice Cycle site does show a fork using this basic style, but they don't list that. It comes with the $200 set of forks. sep.yimg.com/ay/dratv/the-top-end-no-oil-will-leak-out-of-this-one-and-you-will-get-a-new-flanged-bolt-and-fancy-thick-oem-washer-8.gifdid you figure out the oil cooler yet ? maybe a big ol Noctua would work . haha I ordered a Piranha cooler for this engine.

OK,Helicoil or select the next size up(SAE or Metric)thread and fab up new bolts..Gotta be cheaper than new forks!!

Yeah, that's probably where it's going to end up. I was hoping I'd get lucky and find replacements for a reasonable price though.

False alarm. I was last messing with the fork caps just before I started getting T2 on the road again. I guess I kinda rushed judgement. I looked at it today and the caps don't look bad. Measured the bolts and they're 9.4mm OD, for M10x1.25 thread. Happened to have 2 bolts that size. Cut them down a little and found washers and they seem to work fine.

New video is up. Making a headlight/signal mount, stiffening up the front suspension, mounting the Vapor, replacing the tire, wheel bearings, seals and more : youtu.be/gJpGF3YbatY

I had a piece of 22ga steel around that I'm not even sure why I have it. I'd like a small fender for the front. Just enough to keep water from flying up at me. Figured I'd see what I could do. What I can do is turn a piece of 22ga into scrap. I thought maybe a single curve piece, just bending around the tire's OD. That looks weird. Putting both a bend around the OD and a bend around the cross section seems to require the things that you always see in fender making like body hammers, an english wheel, stretcher/shrinker and so on. I tried making some relief cuts, but it got me nowhere good. The only thing I really accomplished over the course of a few hours is knowing the dimensions that I need to look for if I want a fender and learning that I'll either buy one that fits or to mod or prob not have one. The stock fender is so ugly that I think it's useless. I may come back to it if I can't find something roughly like what I'm after for a reasonable price or I may leave it fenderless. I'm trying to cover basically straight up from the axle to about 45 degrees back, which comes out to roughly 10" when curving around the tire and the spacing is about 4" between the forks. This is the best match so far, but it's for a 16" wheel (SSR has 17") : www.treatland.tv/tomos-OEM-black-metalflake-front-fender-for-reviva-p/tomos-fender-242088-bk-flake.htm
