New Dude From Vegas

Howdy all,

I'm Samuel from Vegas. I picked up a 2012 Yamaha 4-stroke 50F Zuma for pit duties at Moto America and club race rounds. The only reason I got the scooter is that mini-bikes aren't legal. Scooters seem a lot more practical though, and it already had a cup holder from the factory!

I got a 4-stroke for fuel injection and ease of use, but I'm thinking maybe I should of got the 2-stroke for the kick starter and speediness. Oh well, prob better to stay slow. I picked this 2012 up for a song and it only had 1300 miles on it. I looked at a 2015 that was in decent shape with less than 1k miles, but no ignition, title or even a bill of sale, aka, stolen. A big problem in my town.

Anyways, this forum seems like there's a wealth of information. I'm looking at getting my new scoot wrapped to match the my team colors and race bike. But before that, I'm going to freshen up the fluids and put some LED headlights in it.

Please let us see the scoot with your race bikes once it's wrapped. Show it off as-is as well if you'd like.

So, are you gonna ride it at all or just use it for pit duties?

Yeah, I don't plan to use it on the street, just the pits. But I will probably put a plate on it just in case. My race number is 446 and I got a license plate that conveniently has that on it. Below are the pics of my team from a club race round, a rendering on the Twins race bike and the actual scooter as it sits in the truck all dirty looking.





Thanks for the interest! We got a Team race page on the facebook machine. We don't take ourselves too seriously, which will be pretty evident. A lot of club racers post funny stuff and we actually make similar posts to theirs as a joke. I did one about this scooter being a 'secret', which cracks me up.

That Q3 is a cool scooter. I didn't know anything about those before.

That got me thinking, are there any kickstand bolt on SIDE STAND kits for the 4-stroke Zuma? My searches haven't netted much.
