So I'm new to this forum, first post.. go me. Anywho, I was riding the other day, and the scoot just stopped running, felt at first as though it was a fouled plug. Upon inspection, the spark plug cap had simply come loose and fallen off. No worries! But now it has come to be a constant issue. Every 1/2 mile I'm pulling over, and reconnecting the plug cap. It feels very loose (obviously) but neither the plug, (which I have swapped out with a few others I happen to have) or the inside of the cap seem to have any damaging effects on them. Anybody else have this problem in the past? And does anyone know if I'm going to have to go and buy a new ignition coil, or is there a simpler, more cost effective way to fix this that I am just overlooking?
Thanks for the help!!

You may be lucky enough to use a pair of needle nose pliers to get down in there and squeeze the metal contacts tighter. That's what I would do. If you don't already have a pair of these pliers then buying one may cost about as much as a new coil/plug wire assembly, depending on if you get one el cheapo "Xing Fu" or you opt for a quality Stanley or Craftsman item.
