Hi guy's I'm new to the forum. Here's my question. I bought a 2005 Vento Triton R4 off of a friend of mine. He already installed a 70cc kit with an arreche carb and a Technigas pipe. I think I now have it tuned pretty close (it didnt even run when I got it) but I noticed that it doesn't smoke. I checked and the oil injection tank is full and a good synthetic oil was used. There is some residue on the pipe so I guess there is oil in the mix but from what I knew of two strokes and from videos of other scooters I've seen they surely smoke. Should I just do away with the oil injection and premix? :sos:

Most likely they wee using a smoke-less oil if its synthetic. I use some stuff called ipone.. smells like berries... Start your scooter up and have someone rev on it... If it smells like a lawn mower or anything other then straight gas your prolly getting oil in the mix....

Agreed...most newer ones also do not have excessive smoke because of emissions. I would keep an eye out to see if the oil in the tank drops any too...it uses very little.
