My buddy, Vince and i decided to ride to Hallett, OK to watch some CMRA racing. 250 miles each way and our first overnighter. Loaded up the saddle bags and rolled out at 4am. Love to ride the sun up! Our route takes us through lots of small towns. I love the little trips back in time. Some are quite fun! Got to the race track a and watched two endurance races. These guys were doing 5 hour races in close to 110 degrees. Yikes!!! Day 2 sprint races brought out a few classics. Loved these 60s and 70s era Triumphs! And speaking of old, a couple of other 60s era classics! Me Vince Around noon Sunday when the temps cracked 105 we hit the road for home. 5 hours in the blistering heat but still a great adventure and well worth it.

Looks like a good time... other than the heat. Motorcycle racing comes on my TV which is in the house with the AC. lol I know, I know, it's not the same as seeing and hearing it in person. 5hrs of hard riding in that heat has got to make for one heck of a long day for those racers.

Like Brent i watch a lot of MC racing at home too. But never got the sense of break neck speed, like watching these guys up close as they fling them selves into a corner!

Hallett is a nice friendly track to many series both 2 & 4 wheel. Never been there, just a little far for me. The track is heavy into driver training.

Yup. We want to go back to watch some open wheel racing.
Thinking about doing a track day but i would just be in the way of all the fast guys and make them mad. ;D
