The first one should work for your clone. The one for Aerox won’t bolt up correctly. Thank you, now going to order that one.

Sorry to bother everyone again but I thought whilst I had the variator apart I may aswell look into optimising the roller weights. At the moment after the CVT reaches it's final "gear" I can feel a slight increase in power which leads me to believing that I may need slightly lighter weights. Does anybody have any idea what kind of weight rollers I should start with on my scoot. I weigh around 70-80kg if that's relevant. Thank you!

brombra, stock rollers should be 6grm so try a set of 5.5 see what it does.the weights vary from scoot to scoot/rider set up,the only way is trial and error.

If I order say a set of 5g rollers then could I then combine them to get an average weight of 5.5g and then if I needed to go lighter just use all 5g?

In response to your first question I'd like to make two suggestions to you.
1 Never use excessive force on a ratchet wrench cuz you can break the ratchet mechanism and then your wrench is junk. Unless you spend the $$$$ for Snap-on wrenches and you can get a ratchet assy repair kit for them. Maybe others too. But it is way better to use a "breaker bar & 6 pt socket for heavy wrenching. Always try to buy 6 pt sockets they are much sturdier than the 12 point ones.
2 Get a Kawasaki 12 volt impact tool. I have no interest in the product or brand. But I have one and it makes hard work easy. You most likely will NOT need any special holding tools. My tool came with 4 American sized lug nut sockets. One of them fits the GY6 variator nut like it was made for it as well as my Metro but I did have to buy a 12 mm (I think) socket for the outer clutch nut and a 39 mm socket for the Giant clutch nut that is under the bell. Get impact sockets. The regular sockets will work for a few times but it's best to be nice to your tools. If you get an electric impact tool please read the instructions. They don't work like the air powered tools, not a constant rattling away. The motor ramps up speed and then somehow slaps the crap out of the nut to loosen it. Very effective but not normal. Everything I've loosened needed no more than 3 whacks to get loose.
Harbor Freight sells a similar product too FYI.

3 Buy a gram scale and don't feel guilty about it.
