I put the 72cc cyllinder and piston on but also have to put a bigger jet in the carb. Its a Benelli M50 1E40QMB 2 stroke. I think the carb has only one main jet and don't know what size to get now that the 72 kit is on, Im thinkin between 85 and 100 but don't know. I am also concerned about the oil injection system, I hope it will get enough oil. If anyone has knowlege on this please let me know. Its acts like it wants to start but one of the sleves broke off during shiping but a friend said it wouldn't matter. I was thinkin about using some gasket sealer cus maybe too much air is getting in and it is losing compression. It acts like it wants to strart but cuts right off. I may have a problem with the vacuum petcock.

sleves of what the cylinder? for the jet around 85 no more then 95. your getting plenty of oil from the stock pump.

ok I figured the oil pump would work with the upgrade, Im having my jet drilled out today, do u know what size bit? Yea the very bottom of the cyllinder one of the sleeve broke off, cheap chinese metal. but the piston only moves up and down like less than an inch. It should be fine right?

That part of the cylinder helps to support the piston. If it broke in shipping, I'd suggest talking to the seller or shipper and getting a replacement or your money back. I dropped one in the floor years ago and broke that off. It went to the recycler as scrap metal. Your piston may not move that far (more than an inch) but it still needs support. If it's not much chipped off and you insist on using it, at least smooth all of the edges. It's very likely your piston will rock around more than it should and wear prematurely.

now that I rejeted it to 90 it stays running but doesn't take off, I was thinking it could be my cvt tranny but the back wheels spins some on the kick stand so Im thinking carb, or my messed up cyllinder, I need a pressure gauge to see how much compression its getting. They sent me the 10 cylinder instead of the 12mm pin so I ordered the 12 piston and put it in the cylinder, I am pretty sure they are both the same cylinder right? someone said they can be different heights??

The piston for a 10 and 12mm kit should be the same other than the wrist pin hole on most kits. If you aren't sure you can pop the head off and look in there. Hopefully the piston is clearing the ports at the bottom of it's stroke and it should be coming pretty close to the top of the cylinder. If not, it might be a different height than the other piston. If you have good compression the diameter of the piston should be fine.
If the engine is revving well on the centerstand and it won't move, it's likely a CVT problem. If the engine still isn't responding well it's probably still a carb issue.

I ended up getting it running, turns out I drilled out my jet too much so someone suggested using soder and re drilling it but I just stuck a thin peice of copper wire in there for the time being and it runs but after you hit 35 40 mph it cuts off, I think its flooding out so I am going to have to get the right jet but for now that seems to be working.

i would just go send 10-20 bucks on a jet set, very handy for getting it just right!
