OK,here is the Gasket/Spacer(GS)Fab; Here is the basic tools needed Rough piece of gasket cut out Gasket is held against cyl barrel, then lightly tapped with SMALL hammer Here is the imprint That is then cut out with scissors, and heck it fits! Grab a few 8mm bolts and carefully tap them thru the stud holes Got the studs located,so I bump around the transfers with the ballend of the SMALL hammer Use a flat punch to cut the corners Then I bump around the outside of the gasket lightly to get the outside(I actually make it a bit bigger) Now I transfer my new gasket to my spacer aluminum plate Draw a C/L(center line) between the studs The circle cutter is setup for the proper diameter, then is placed on center Here is the results Then the stud holes are pilot drilled I use the same 1/8" pilot drill to go around the transfer openings in a very close pattern A sharp wood chisel is used to cut away the excess metal Stud holes are drilled to 8mm(5/16") and the transfer channels are hand filed in a vice to match them up My 2 favorite tools Compound tin snips are used to rough cut the outside Here is the final fit,it aint perfect, but this whole mess took around an hour to do!
