I have a renegade 50 chinese scooter, when I first start it and drive it it will stall out on me 3 or 4 times before it will run correctly, then it does fine

Are you letting it warm up for a minute or two before you take off? If not you should. There is an electric choke on the carburetor that takes a minute or so to adjust the fuel mixture from "cold engine" to "warm engine" setting. Let the scooter idle for a minute at least before you tear off on it and take it easy for the first 1/2 mile.

i am having trouble just getting it to run it takes a few tries before it will fire then just quits running, when i try to start it again it sounds and smells like it is flooded, could it be a faulty electronic choke?

Also if it has a chinese spoark plug in it, which is the one it came with you might want to change it to a good NGK plug.
