Purchase details 6-pin CDI for GY6 50cc-150cc ATV, Go Kart * Moped $3.95 Item #H048-006 Ignition Coil with Shield for GY6 50cc-150cc ATV, Go Kart, Moped * Scooter $8.95 Item #H053-016 Intake Manifold Pipe for GY6 50cc Moped $8.95 Item #P091-014 KEIHIN 18mm Carburetor of High Quality with Acceleration Pump for GY6 50cc Moped $41.95 Item #N090-016 Amount $63.80 Shipping $9.99 Total $73.79 First, their web site states 1-3 day FREE shipping on orders over $50 nationwide; imgur.com/a/5PAQnHY my order qualified yet I was charged $9.99 for shipping, next I learned that they were actually shipping the parts from a warehouse in CHINA, so besides the 1-3 day "free" shipping going by the wayside (I ordered on the 12th and it hasnt even been shipped) but they are offering a KEIHIN carb, but it's in CHINA?? it sounds like one of the fake inferior Keihin carbs actually made in China as a knockoff. They also wanted a phone number, I said nope, I dont give out my private cell number to anyone for orders and never have, I've ordered on-line every week for the last 20 years and can count on 2 fingers how many times Ive run into that and the merchant cancelled the order or I did when they insisted they cant ship without a phone number. So now that's the second shop in a row I've had a problem with, I'm done with this!

Phone number thing is easy. I order stuff online all of the time and I simply use an old cell number I had about 5 years ago. It is not like they are going to call me, all they are going to do is sell it to some telemarketers and the cell I have right now, I am charged by the minute and use less than 10 minutes/month and I do not need scam calls that I pay for. Works like a charm. If they have a question about my order they email anyway and do not call.

So now that's the second shop in a row I've had a problem with, I'm done with this! Try sticking with people that are known for great service when possible. Places like PartsForScooters and ScooterTuning.Ca have strong reputations and I don't expect that to change.

The thing is, I haven't had to buy any engine parts in years, so I don't know anybody that way from past experience. Another issue is this place had everything I needed to get, I was searching and would one or two parts at one but not the rest, so then you have to do multiple sourcing of parts and hope they all fit together, like the jets for the carb- some have the jets but not the carb! some have the carb but no jets.

Motoparts emailed back with nothing more than "OK, look for a refund in your account" not a word about how the free shipping wound up being billed $9.99, or that their advertised 1-3 day nationwide shipping doesn't include the time it takes to make it over on the slow boat from China- meaning they didnt have any of the items in stock. I noticed that EagleATV which has always been linked to by TaoTao's main page to get parts from now seems to go to partskit.com/ I have ordered from EagleATV in the past to get parts that specifically fit the TaoTao and fit perfectly every time- body parts, seat, brake handles, muffler etc., the only drawback was they had a shipping charge of like $25 but I got tired of ordering what looked like the right parts and were said to be, but when they arrived they clearly didn't fit- especially true of the muffler, but all those parts were perfect fit from EagleATV It appears partskit is actually Eagle; Since 2005, PartsKit.com established its first on-line retail store EagleATVParts.com(www.eagleatvparts.com) , which focus on Chinese Powersports Parts only.

Bill I always use 712-555-1212 for the number since you have to put something there for the form to go through, only ran into 2 sellers over the years who emailed demanding a verifiable number and in both cases I said not happening. The first one in a ceramics business cancelled my order, after looking at their web site their "about us" had all this religious junk all over it and their story about how they moved their business into their home after closing down their bricks and mortar store, after experiencing their lousy attitude it began to make sense why they moved the business into their livingroom.

If you don't give them a valid number and they need to contact you, that leaves email to contact you about any problem.
But if you're concerned about it, just get a google voice number, it's free
