Anyone know where to find these? My speedo is like 25 mph off. I know I could just go with a bicycle speedo, but I am looking for a stock look. I'm actually looking to get a digital one, I really like the look. Edit: I found this one ( www.partsforscooters.com/159-65__Vento__Triton-GT5__Speedometer?sc=9&category=502 ) but they are out of stock. Do you guys have any idea if this would fit my scooter without modification?

The SigmaSport bicycle speedo install is the most accurate and cheapest speedo to be had.Brent has a page here about installation. 49ccscoot.com/sigma.html

I wouldn't expect the stock digital speedo to be any more accurate, but I don't actually know if it is or not.
I remember hearing about some glitches with the digital clusters on Tritons, but I can't remember what the problems were exactly. Not sure if it was a common issue or not.

I'm no electrical wiz but it seems to me that thre should be a screw inside the speedo (possibly with paint on it) that calibrates the thing. Maybe you can fiddle with it?

Really... because I heard that the speedo accuracy issues were from analog speedos only. I read a report from someone with a RX8 saying that their speedo was about 20 MPH off, and they tried everything up to changing the speedo bearing without any fix, until they installed the digital speedo. As soon as they installed that, they said it was 99% accurate. I'm going to try the digital speedo in spring when I get a bit more $$

It's possible to pull the needle off the speedo and reinstall it in a different position to correct the error or at least make it more accurate. I did it to my old speedo. It required a few tries but I got it pretty close.
Be careful.

Reign - Thanks for the information. I am going to purchase one as well, when I get the money. jmstar50 - I should try that. If I break it, then oh well. Doesn't do me any good the way it is now. Utterly useless. It pegs when I'm doing 40mph .
