Hi, Was looking at the clutch and variator I took off my Vento Triton R4. The part # on the Variator plate is JOG901401 The part # on the clutch housing is JOG90 What do those #s indicate. Seems a JOG50 is for the 50cc scoots and the JOG90 - well they are parts from a 90cc scoot? (if such a thing exists?) Comments? Maybe this scoot has been modified? I have no history on it.

Jog90 and Jog50 are often used to designate small and large parts. For example, Jog90 varis are for the large spline cranks.

Not at all. Just a way to designate small and large parts. If the Triton was a 90cc you should have a number on the engine like 1E52... instead of 1E40... to show you have a larger than 40mm bore that a 49cc minarelli should have.

ok thanks - the clutch is 16 spline and everyone around me in Florida is out of them - backordered. The bell housing and springs on the clutch are corroded very badly and I would like to start new. Suggestions on where I could find the right parts? Variator is 15 spline. Both jog 90.

PFS sells the Hoca aftermarket vari (#169-140) that's about $10 more than stock and offers better performance. Scrappydogscooters has a replacement vari for $35 (21mm, they are talking about OD of the drive boss). I'm not a fan of the way it's setup really. It uses splines on the aluminum fan instead of a steel key like the stocker. Look at the pic and you should see what I mean. They also have either tooth count clutch for $45.
